About

Welcome to my site! Iā€™m Don Rogers and I grew up in Upstate New York near the banks of the Susquehanna River.  I treasured spending my childhood in the outdoors in the Catskills, Adirondacks and the Finger Lakes. I left New York State in the late 80ā€™s and joined the Navy after college.  After 9 years of service, I continued my professional career as an Air Traffic Controller working mostly around the East.  Fly fishing became my return to sanity for many years.  I loved being surrounded by the beautiful trout waters and explored the Eastern U.S. in search of them. I would also travel back to New York to fish the waters of my home.

My family and I moved back to Upstate New York in 2010.  I will never forget my first homecoming trip to the Catskills as a renewed resident.  After catching what most would consider a modest trout, I sat on the banks of the Beaverkill River for at least an hour, feeling blessed that my long road had led me back home.  My love for this area never wavered. Whether chasing Great Lakes Salmon and Steelhead, PA trout in a limestone stream, cold and warm water species that the Adirondacks has to offer, or of course the revered trout of the Catskills, fly fishing around New York and Pennsylvania is truly special.

Whether you are brand new to fly fishing or have a lifetime of experience, I will work to show you a great day on the water!
